London, November 11, 2024: International demand for CFOs at record levels – For the second consecutive year, CFOs are more in demand than CEOs – Shepard Fox helps promote the Global CFO Turnover Index
CFOs (Chief Financial Officers) of publicly traded international companies are stepping into the spotlight. Once overshadowed by CEOs, CFOs are now more in demand than Chief Executives, with global interest in financial executives reaching record levels for the second year in a row. By the end of Q3 2024, companies within the top twelve global stock indices had appointed 224 new CFOs, nearly matching the previous year’s 233. In comparison, only 161 CEOs were appointed in the same period this year, nearly a third fewer. This trend is highlighted in the Global CFO Turnover Index, tracked by Russell Reynolds Associates, a leading leadership advisory.
