Kai is a former journalist, seasoned writer and corporate communications specialist with a career spanning more than 30 years. Her journalistic background includes stints at various publishing houses including Times Periodicals, a subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings, owner of national dailies The Straits Times and Business Times. Before joining Shepard Fox, Kai worked at Weber Shandwick, Hill & Knowlton and in the Singapore public sector. She has also worked on many PR campaigns and managed crisis communications, speaker engagements, product launches and events management for a client list that includes TNT, Philips, Nokia, Northwest Airlines, Gulf Air, Waterford Wedgwood, Volkswagen, AIA, Akzo Nobel and Singapore government agencies.
