Zurich, December 11, 2008: Growing popularity of electronic billing in Switzerland: 300,000th user of e-bill registered
The electronic bill, e-bill, is growing more and more popular, with the 300,000th user mark being exceeded in November 2008. The success of the e-bill is also demonstrated by the growing number of of billers that have decided for e-billing, among them Switzerland’s largest billers. According to a UBS survey, 40% of Swiss bank customers are now familiar with the e-bill. The public administration sector is now also getting involved: The canton Basel-Stadt ist the first Swiss canton to offer its citizen the option of receiving and paying bills electronically. – Shepard Fox Communications authored the press release and distributed it in three languages to custom-made distribution lists.
