Brussels, November 13, 2008: Only one third of all job openings at Belgian companies can be filled according to job requirements
Belgian companies are not preparing adequately for an ageing and shrinking workforce. As a consequence companies in Belgium, more than in any other European country, are facing an acute skills shortage and are having great difficulties in finding employees with the right profiles. That is one of the key findings of the Belgian Demographic Fitness Survey 2008 among 502 Belgian HR Directors, conducted by the Adecco Institute and published today by Adecco Belgium. – Shepard Fox Communications coordinated with the surveying company TNS Infratest, edited the survey report, oversaw the production of the corresponding white paper and arranged for interviews between leading Belgian business media and the Chairman of the Adecco Institute.
