Detlef is a veteran corporate communications specialist with over 30 years experience, spanning both internal and external communications, communications strategy, change and M&A communications, CEO communications, corporate internet and intranet, and employee magazines. He is an expert in change management and securing employee buy-in during times of corporate restructuring and mergers. Detlef began his career as a journalist for daily newspapers in Germany. He then joined Siemens AG in Munich, where for more than two decades he led global corporate communications teams in the company’s IT and Telecom units, comprising of 60,000 employees across 180 countries.
